Founding Story
In 2013, founder Matthew J. Martin discovered a large gap in the availability of financial products while researching halal options for his own business. This spurred a period of personal research into Islamic finance.
As a veteran of venture capital funded financial technology companies, he realized he was uniquely suited to take on this major challenge. He decided to close his burgeoning business in order to focus fully on solving the problem of access to halal financing.
Since then, we've grown to become an international recognized leader in the social impact and Islamic financial services space. Our expert team is united in the original vision of expanding access to ethical financial services based on Islamic principles.
